Women's lacrosse triumphantly returning to field of play, nearly taking off Oregon last season
For most sports at OSU, a Civil War win can redeem a bad season or reinforce Pac-10 dominance. For the women's lacrosse team, the University of Oregon starts off with an advantage.
UO, the only school in the Northwest with a Division-I program, is able to recruit players, particularly from the Northeast - a region where lacrosse rivals football and basketball in popularity.
Misjudgement
When a defense attorney describes his or her clients as "good people" who made "an error in judgment" it's not too often that anyone agrees. People like killers, rapists and thieves have been coined, "good people" by defense attorneys.
It seems like only the clients agree.
Swimming in Beijing
Oregon State sends Beaver swimmers across Pacific
On a basketball court converted into a swimming pool and with upwards of 13,000 screaming spectators, future Oregon State swimmers Jenni Dole and Rachel Wahl, along with current Beaver swimmer Brittney Iverson, competed in the U.S. Olympic swimming trials on June 29 in Omaha Nebraska.
