So, it's summer and some students might be lucky enough to have a summer job- and yes, having a job is good. A job means money and experience, which are both needed to get better jobs in the future. However, many other students might not be so lucky to have found a job to fill up their free time, or they are so busy trying to pack as many credits as they can into summer that they do not have time for a job.

It may come as a surprise to you, but for the last four years the ubiquitous Disney Store franchise has been owned and operated, not by the Disney Company, but by Hoop Retail Stores. In May of this year, however, Disney reacquired the Disney Store chain with the intent of re-launching this once enormously-profitable enterprise.

We must make a funny sight, me walking with my pets and my roommate Kim's pets. My harlequin-colored purebred Great Dane always takes the lead, somehow managing to look graceful in spite of her size. Then Kim's part-Tigger, mostly-Jack-Russell-terrier bouncing behind - her basset hound, almost running to keep up with the walk of the others, her wee legs working double time - then me - then our newest addition to the menagerie of our household, Casper, a 10-year old Samoyed with a recent shave job that makes him look more like an overweight polar bear than a dog - and then, last but not least, Willow, our cat.

I'm surprised the Black community in Portland isn't up in arms right now - one of their new neighbors has a proven track record of anti-Black bigotry and violence. A new Planned Parenthood center is being built in Northeast Portland on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
