A 26-year-old Oregon State University student has been accused of trying to have sex with a 13-year-old girl he met online, Portland's KPTV and The Clackamas Review reported Tuesday.
Kerry Lee Barker of Lake Oswego, resident of Poling Hall, was one of six people arrested in the past week as part of a sexual predator sting operation in which police pretended to be young girls on the Internet, The Clackamas Review newspaper reported.
The newspaper said KPTV, Portland's FOX affiliate, participated in the sting along with the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement agencies.
The station's Web site on Tuesday showed video of Barker and others being arrested. The video also shows a TV reporter attempt to interview the suspects.
The Clackamas Review said Barker fled after entering the house through a rear sliding door. Police then used a Taser gun and wrestled him to the ground before taking him back into the house to be interviewed by the television crew, the newspaper reported.
All six of the men, who were charged with Attempted Rape II, Attempted Sexual Abuse I and Attempted Sodomy II, were sent to the Clackamas County Jail on $750,000 bail, The Clackamas Review reported.
The newspaper said the sting ended on Feb. 3.

Whoops. Every sex-abuse case should end with a good tasering. Right?
