Track finishes season, much like races, strong

Season ends with PRs, move toward next level of competition
It has been an exciting year for the Oregon State women's track team, but as the season draws to a close, the team has many reasons to look for promise in the season to come. "Everyone is doing great," said sophomore Hayley Oveson. "This has been a season where everyone has had big PRs and a lot of people are moving to the next level in their abilities.

Oregon State volleyball player Rachel Rourke will take part in the First Annual Abu Dhabi International Women's Volleyball Championship, hosted by the Higher Organizing Committee (HOC), as a member of the Australian National Team, beginning May 21. The 6-foot-5-inch Aussie sophomore outside hitter will have a chance to compete with some of the best from around the world.

In the past few years, the athletic facilities at Oregon State have upgraded drastically. The success of the football team has paved the way to upgrade to a nicer facility with much more space than the Valley Football Center, a massive renovation project has been done at Reser and the average OSU student has beautiful Dixon recreation center for all their fitness needs.

And the award goes to...

It's time for Jenna's Benny Award Show - because mine is far superior, obviously. Most memorable sport highlight this year: There are two. The first one was Tasha Smith receiving a perfect 10 on her floor performance against BYU. This made myself and Beaver Nation proud.
