Earth Day inspiries Quad gathering
To celebrate Earth Week, students can stop by MU Quad, experience theme days
This Earth Week, those on campus will have the opportunity to learn about Earth and sustainability thanks to daily booths offering information in the MU Quad.
Today, for Earth Day, over 50 organizations will be setting up booths and tables in the quad to commemorate the occasion.

English Language Institute grant to help Yemen schools
OSU wins $860 thousand grant to assist teaching English in Yemen universities
At the end of this February, Oregon State University received a grant for $860 thousand from the World Bank to assist with University education in Yemen. Oregon State was the only lone university that applied for the grant.
OSU's English language institute competed with a Dutch consortium, a British consortium and a Texan consortium of schools and private businesses to develop four Yemeni universities.
Sailing team searches for new members
Oregon State's sailing team looks for new members, gears up for spring competitions
While many other Oregon State attendees are likely to spend their weekends lounging in the general Corvallis area, members of the OSU sailing team are usually not as easily located as their counterparts. For these club sport members, an estimated 20 weekends out of the school year are spent traveling to more exotic locales for intense two-day sailing competitions commonly referred to as regattas.
