New country, new idea for KBVR
In an attempt to build a bond between American students and international students, Agnes Roche, a senior in business, created a show on KBVR called "Open World." Roche is studying abroad at OSU from Lyon, France. She is on a one year study program, and during her winter term, she decided to create a TV show.

"I got too comfortable. I show up and people are afraid of me there now. I'm not growing. They say I have to be there at 11, I show up at noon and they wait for me. I don't get in trouble. If you get to that point on anything you're like, 'I have to get scared again.' I feel like I have to get hungry again. I need to reinvent myself."

Diversity Action Plan receives support, flak

The changing state of diversity at OSU has been a source of controversy over time. To combat this, a diversity action plan was created in 2006. However, the plan has been scrutinized for not taking enough action or adapting to current problems. One of the goals of the diversity action plan was to create a campus environment that would allow the OSU community to prepare students, staff and faculty to be culturally respectful and understanding through exposure to diverse perspectives, lifestyles and experiences.
