The 12th-ranked Oregon State baseball team scored 10 unanswered runs to come back from a 10-2 deficit, defeating Santa Clara, 12-10, in a marathon game Sunday afternoon at Tony Gwynn Stadium. "I'm very proud of the way this team fought back," Head Coach Pat Casey said.

Time for some predictions

Since the start of last fall term, I have made a few sports predictions in this column. The majority of them have been right on (see OSU's 0-18 men's hoops team, the Red Sox obliterating the Rockies in last year's World Series and the Blazers falling out of the playoff picture before the All-Star Break), but a couple haven't quite worked out so well (yeah, I was the guy who picked South Florida to play for the college football national championship and the Patriots to go undefeated - although you can't blame me for that one).

After day one at College of Charleston Invite, OSU sits within striking distance
The Oregon State women's golf team is currently in ninth place following play during a challenging day at the College of Charleston Invitational on Sunday. With one of the strongest players out with the flu and following a practice round on Saturday with 15 to 30 mile-per-hour winds, the Oregon State women's golf carded a total score of 33-over-par 321, putting them in ninth place in the 22-team tournament.

Sophomore Dani Chisholm went a perfect 4-for-4, adding two runs, to lead the Beavers to a 4-1 win over Florida International in the final game of the Blue and Gold Felsberg Memorial Tournament on Sunday afternoon. Oregon State (13-13) chalked up a season-high, 14 hits, led by Chisholm, with three other players recording multi-hit games.
