An Apology
Last week, a letter to the editor arrived that pointed out similarities of a Barometer article to a New York Times article on the same subject.
The Daily Barometer strives to teach reporters and staff members good information-gathering practices, honesty and willingness to answer to faults of the paper.
Unfathomable changes occur
I am one of those people who tries to live their life without any regrets. Of course, sometimes it cannot be avoided, but other times it can be rectified.
I left home promising myself and others I would not lose touch with the people I felt were important to me, but - as stated in previous columns - I didn't keep up my end of the bargain, which really upset me when I realized this.

Response to Will Rogers
A "Real" Disease⦠Like Cancer.
I would like to reply to Mr. Rogers's statement that alcoholism is not a disease. By his argument any illness that begins with a voluntary act is not a disease. This logic discredits anorexia, bulimia, a wide array of mental health issues and - to some extent - lung cancer as legitimate diseases.
Community forum: racism in media
On March 4, 14 people - students, faculty, Barometer staff and Vernita Friend, director of multicultural affairs for ASOSU - sat down in the Barometer conference room to discuss racism in media.
The attendees came with stories they have personally experienced and have witnessed.
