Officer Dave Cox leaves after six years on the force, currently under internal investigation
Corvallis police officer Dave Cox resigned from the force on Nov. 1, 2007 after a formal, paid suspension by the Corvallis Police Department on Sept. 14. For those students who have come into contact with Cox, CPD's decision carries some weight. "I was arrested by Cox on April 9 at 3:36 in the morning," said Kellen Pierce, a Portland resident.

OSU student featured on MTVu series

Nathan Jones pushes for green justice, public awareness
"Sustainable" and "reusable" are words often heard these days, and are also the words behind the life devotion of Nathan Jones. Jones, a junior majoring in natural resources with a specialization in social justice and the environment, was recently chosen to be featured on the debut episode of "Cause Effect," a 4-part mini-series put on by MTVu.

A candlelight vigil in memory of Quinn Truong and Jeff Schmidt, two OSU students who passed away last year, is planned for Monday, Nov. 19 in the MU Quad. Candles will be provided, and a Memorial Wall will be placed next to the Information Desk in the MU for anyone wishing to leave messages.
