KBVR files stolen property report
No leads, suspects found in the case; stolen property worth $8,500 to be replaced
A switchboard from the KBVR performance studio control room at Oregon State University, was reported stolen on Wednesday, July 25. The switchboard was last seen at the KBVR studio Friday, 20 and its value is estimated at $8,500. Lt. Randy Westbrook of the Oregon State Police department is the head investigator on the case.
Bridge collapse in Minnesota kills 4; crews search for more victims
MINNEAPOLIS - Divers searched the Mississippi River for bodies still trapped beneath the twisted debris of a collapsed bridge Thursday, as finger-pointing began over a report two years ago that found the bridge was "structurally deficient."
The official death count from Wednesday evening's collapse stood at four, but Police Chief Tim Dolan said more bodies were in the water.

After months of searching, the missing statue of the Delta Chi fraternity was located last night.
"It's awesome," said Kyle Waletich, president of Delta Chi, "it's irreplacable."
Rosencrans, the unofficial mascot of Delta Chi, was reported stolen during the end of spring term.

The year-round KidSpirit is an umbrella name for a program that began as a baseball program at OSU in 1961. Over the past 40 years the program has grown to include girls, featuring activities such as tennis and CPR classes.
KidSpirit is sponsored by the College of Health and Human Sciences and provides an alternative for kids looking to stay active during the summer.

As fall approaches, the women studies program will be trying to take a step forward toward becoming OSU's newest major.
Currently a minor, the women studies program has been working on a proposal for it to become an undergraduate program throughout the previous year.

After six months of negotiations, the Oregon University System reached a tentative agreement with SEIU on a new collective bargaining agreement.
Representatives of OUS and SEIU - the labor union that represents classified university employees - were at the University of Oregon Thursday to finalize the terms of a two-year collective bargaining agreement.
