The sporadic showers of the afternoon didn't seem to dampen spirits of those participating in the Feminist Fair, put on by the Women's Center yesterday in the MU Quad. Booths from different campus organizations and cultural centers provided information, small talk, and goody bags.

In 2006, the world consumed 41 billion gallons of water, according to the Beverage Marketing Corporation.

In March 2007, a 2-year-old boy lay dying in a Chicago hospital bed, stricken with a rare affliction not seen since the 1990s. Known treatment avenues had failed, leaving doctors skeptical about the toddler's chances for recovery.
In addition to other signs and symptoms, the boy developed a severe systemic skin reaction that rendered him virtually unrecognizable.

3:28 a.m., Saturday, June 2 - 18-year-old Marcus Cuellar was arrested for driving under the influence of intoxicants and three counts of reckless endangerment. He was stopped on N.W. Van Buren Avenue and his blood alcohol content was 0.10 percent.
