Wednesday afternoon, students navigated through angry cries coming from the MU Quad and tore through a sea of signs, protesters and curious onlookers. Some chose to ignore the commotion of the Genocide Awareness Project, while others came to an abrupt halt at a small display table, put on by the Women's Center, near the entrance of the MU.

This Tuesday the final estimates of funds available for legislators to include in the 2007-09 budget were revealed. The state of Oregon will have an additional $180.3 million to include in the general and lottery fund. Yesterday representatives from the Fix This First coalition, which include members of the Oregon Student Association, university and community college representatives, held a joint lobby day with state legislators.

The Royal family had evacuated on the previous morning as the hurricane continued to grow and was upgraded to a Category 5.

Relay hopes to raise money, awareness

Students raise donations, awareness for treating cancer by participating in Relay for Life
For four years, Tami Battles have taken part in Relay for Life. This year, with her grandmother's cancer diagnosis, Battles is more committed to the cause. "I decided to get more involved and become the team captain," said Battles, a senior in nutrition and food management.
