OSU makes final push for cans on campus
Cards, a bake sale and iPodused in the name of raising food for the Linn-Benton Foodshare
Several departments around OSU are holding events in connection with the Linn-Benton Food Share program to collect canned foods and raise money as the university's food drive enters its final week.
The drive, which started Feb. 1 and will run through Friday, is part of a collaborative effort with the Linn-Benton Food Share Program and the Governor's State Employee's Food Drive, to help combat a slow food production season.
Beavers take Wikipedia to beavr.com
The university has developed a new Wikipedia-style Web site for OSU related information
Students in Leaders of Positive Innovation have put together a new Web site that could potentially be helpful to new and experienced students alike.
Beavr.com is a Web site that is similar to the popular Wikipedia Web site.
Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia that can be edited and added to by anyone.
Proposal for green energy takes initiative
The Environmental Task Force seeks approval from general election, bypassing senate
The Green Energy Fee, which proponents say would help convert OSU's power sources to 100 percent renewable forms of energy and was proposed by ASOSU's Environmental Affairs task force. will not be voted on by the ASOSU Undergraduate Senate.
Instead, the task force has decided to take the proposed fee through the initiative process.
Director of Career Services moves toward sunshine
Director of Career Services Tom Munnerlyn jets to Cal Poly Pomona after ten years of showing commitment to diversity
"We'll miss you Tom," were the words on the cake for Tom Munnerlyn, director of career services.
After nine and a half years at OSU, Munnerlyn's last day is today. He had a retirement party on Monday in the MU learning lounge.
"I enjoyed my time here at OSU," Munnerlyn said.
