Oregon State women's soccer advanced to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA tournament after beating the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Florida Gators.

This is important because no one is giving them any attention at all. There has been very little news in the local newspapers and I think it is imperative that we talk about the team that only has to win four more games to win the national championship.

But for those of us who jammed to 'N Sync and Britney Spears at middle school dances, '90s hits remain near and dear to our bubblegum pop hearts.

When it comes to showing respect to another man, we usually show our gratitude by a shake of the hand.

It has always been tradition for two men to shake each other's hand when first meeting, greeting or an exciting situation occurs.

Back in the day, the most common handshake was the traditional thunder grip.

I have ridden the elevator every other day for two weeks now and no one has started a conversation.

This letter is addressed to the participants in Monday's Pride demonstration. As a bisexual woman, I constantly feel betrayed by the outlandish "protests" that pass as support rallies for alternative sexuality. I understand the need to feel different than other people, and that often those of us with non-standard sexual preferences are indeed part of an "alternative" culture.
Well, that time of the year is upon us again - that time when all the stress and pain centers around a set of dates labeled the "holidays."

However, in this same instance we, as college students, have a problem.

We can't always make the trip back home to stuff our faces with an inconceivable amount of calories and tryptophan, and sticking around here doesn't give us the best opportunities for that.

Are you part of a dysfunctional family whom you are trying to avoid during Thanksgiving? Well, you're in luck! Corvallis is the place to be for this upcoming four day weekend.

You may be asking yourself, "There's never anything to do in Corvallis anyway; why would there be something to do during Thanksgiving?" That would be a valid question if it weren't a stupid one.

We all remember Tailgaters.

It was the bar on Monroe Street that had the reputation of being dirty and trashy. Did anyone actually like going there? It was basically a tiny fraternity party that served liquor in real glasses instead of just Natty Ice in red party cups.

By Evan Connet

Diversions

With the release of "Call of Duty" in 2003, the franchise quickly established itself as one of the top-tier heavy hitters of the World War II shooter genre.

The game took the best parts of other period-piece shooters like "Medal of Honor" and, while it didn't reinvent the first-person shooter wheel, it certainly refined and polished the formula into one of the most visceral and cinematic experiences available in gaming.
